    This certainly was a very informative post for me.

    I was well aware of the health benefits of seaweed, which is called dulse here when dried.

    I had also heard of Kelp but was totally unaware that it came from the sea!

    I never realised hat algae was a health food at all and genuinely thought it was just a nuisance, especially when it formed on the top of my pond.

    I shall certainly take this on board, especially when they can so easily be added to my current dishes.

    But Irish moss!  I thought that was used to line hanging flower planters lol.  I think I might just draw a line at that one.

    Thank you so much for the informative blog about algae.  I did not know all this about algae actually.  I knew it was good for you, but the fact that it can possibly detox the body is a good reason to try it out.  I hope that we can do more research on the topic and find out if these really do cleanse the body, because that would be a good thing to add to a healthy diet.

    I live by the motto “Variety is the spice of life.” I endeavor to keep my movement, reading, work, relationships and nutrition as varied as I can. Algae is not something I eat regularly, unless you count the packaged roasted seaweed that you can purchase in the supermarkets. It’s like the seaweed used to wrap sushi.

      Thanks for your comment and yes I have seen those kind in many supermarkets, I always check that the ingredients are wholesome and do not have any unnecessary chemicals or preservatives:) They are great to add onto salads and soups.
